Mini elf Haul
Recently, or maybe not so recently, I've been seeing a lot of people talk about elf cosmetics and just how good their products are. I remember trying them years ago but not really liking them so much. In the past couple of months they have really stepped up their game I must say so with all this talk about how good they are I decided to give them another try!
The first thing on my list was their Flawless Finish Foundation. I first heard about them from ThatsHeart video what really sold me was when she mentioned how it basically looked like her skin, but better. And then my friend Mon talked about it in two of her blog post here and here. So last week I decided to finally try it out for myself and Wow! I can really say it does look like my skin but better.
It is super lightweight and does have a dewy finish which I don't usually go for because I feel like I just look oily. But with this foundation my makeup last all day without the oily or greasy feeling. It feels like I'm not even wearing any foundation at all!
The coverage is a lot better than any other drugstore foundation I've tried. I have hyperpigmentation and old acne marks on my cheeks and although it didn't totally cover them it did make my skin look more even. I think I finally found my perfect foundation! The best part is that it's only $6! Seriously, I love how inexpensive elf products are.
And let's talk about the packaging for a bit. A drugstore foundation with a pump! Hallelujah! The bottle itself is a matte glass container and comes with a black plastic cap which I think makes it look very highend.
Up next I got the HD powder in Sheer. With any foundation I try no matter if it's a matte finish I always end up looking super oily on my t-zone so I though I would try this to see if it'd help with that. I tried it along with the elf foundation and it makes me skin feel super soft and silky, keeps me oil free and it's just a great powder overall.
Then I picked up their lip exfoliater in the flavor mint. I had tried their clear one before and absolutely loved it! I suffer from super dry lips so I constantly need to exfoliate them and for $3 this does the job. I haven't had the chance to use it but I'm excited to try it though.
And finally I got their angled eyeliner brush (which I didn't take a picture of) I've been using this brush to apply my gel eyeliner for years now and desperately needed a new one. I love how small and pointed it is, it makes it so much easier to wing out my liner! Especially on the days when I want to do a very thin line.
And there you have it! My mini elf haul of the week. Have you guys tried any of their products, do you have any favorites? I'll definitely be picking up more from their makeup and skincare line!
Yay! I'm glad you finally got the foundation! Now I'm curious to try that lip exfoliater, Let me know if you like it once you try it!! xx
ReplyDeleteI definitely will! I really liked the other one I mentioned so I have high hopes for this one as well
