Furry Friend Tag

A little while ago I was tagged by my friend Mon to answer this little questionnaire about my new puppy! She is my first "official" pet so if you're interested in getting to know more about her, let's get into it! 

🐾 What is your animal's name? 

Her name is Yuki, which in Japanese means "snow" but when it is used as a name it also means "happiness" because of the different characters they use to write it out. Obviously I do not know how to write/speak Japanese but I thought it was very fitting for her seeing as she is a white dog and does bring me so much happiness. 

🐾 What type of pet is it and what breed? 

She is a dog and her breed is a maltipoo, a Maltese and poodle mix.

🐾 How long have you had your pet?

I've had her for almost two months now. 

🐾 How did you receive your pet?

She was a surprise gift from you mom! 2 weeks after my birthday my mom had come home from work and called me while she was in the parking lot to go help her with some bags. When I went out I saw her standing by the open passenger side door already holding a couple of bags and told me to get what was on the seat. In my mind I had thought she had extra bags there but when I went to look... there she was! My little ball of fur hehe. 

🐾 How old is your pet?

She is almost 4 months now. 

🐾 What are some quirky aspects of your pet's personality?

Where to start! Haha. Well first of all every morning my mom lets her out and every single morning she comes and sits by my bed and stares at me for a little while before she climbs into her bed. I think it's the cutest thing ever! Sometimes I'm half awake and can hear her little steps as she walks to and from my bed. Both mom and I have caught her sitting there staring at me numerous times. 

She also has this unhealthy obsession with sleeping on my slippers haha. No matter where I put them she has to go lay and sleep on them! If she's already laying down by me and I take my slippers off she will get up just to lay on my slippers. It's so silly but I love it. And if you show her your foot she will instantly lay down on her back so you can give her belly rubs... with your foot... yup, that's her favorite. So weird. But I have noticed that her older brother that I dog sat before also enjoys those types of foot to belly rubs. Maybe it's a family trait?

🐾 What does your connection with your pet imply to you?

She is my baby! About a month ago I posted on my Instagram how I never imagined ever having a pet and just how happy she makes me. I love having her and I can't imagine my life without her now. She is my first pet, I was the one who potty trained her and taught her all the little tricks she knows so our bond, our connection means the world me to. 

🐾 What is your favorite past time with your pet? 

Well I've only had her for a few months so I wouldn't say we have a past time together just yet but one of my favorite things to do with her is play fetch. Before she would run after her toy and would do this little bunny hop which was so cute! She doesn't do it that often anymore though. 

🐾 What are some of your pet's nicknames? 

Baby of course. The other one would be "Pechocha" Haha kind of like preciosa which means precious in Spanish. Mom was the one who came up with it.
